That is correct. The icons (files, servers, devices, etc.) are images, so Stroke will not work as intended.

Love the stencil, but I'm having trouble changing the color of the objects in OG for Mac. "Stroke" color doesn't work, as that just adds a line around the item. Even if I ungroup the object from the text, it doesn't work. Any suggestions? Is there a way to change the color of an object in this stencil? Are each of these effectively an image and therefore you can't change their color?

Installation from LiveCD isn't the only option on Mac. You can write the IMG file to a device (say, USB key) as follows:

gunzip -c ./FreeNAS-i386-embedded-0.7.2.5543.img | dd of=/dev/disk4

Make sure you have the right img filename and replace "/dev/disk4" with your device.

There's a PC running iTunes in between, but the iTunes data lives on the NAS. With the new AppleTV (which I upgraded to) there's no syncing with a PC. It uses the Home Sharing feature to stream from any iTunes library on the network.

Jonathan, according to your overview diagram it looks like you hooked up your Apple TV to your NAS. Are you able to stream video from your NAS directly to your Apple TV or do you have to have the PC in between? Will AppleTV stream avi files from FreeNAS?

I enjoyed the posts they were really informative and are certainly wetting my appetite to "tinker".
